National Pug Day, starting since 2012, is observed every year on the 15th of October. Animal behaviorist, writer, and designer Colleen Paige created this day to celebrate this loving, affectionate breed.
Another motive behind designating it as the “Pug Day” was to encourage pug enthusiasts worldwide to adopt the dog from a rescue or adaption center if planning to get one, rather than purchasing it from a pet store.
