Pugs have medium or low energy levels and are lazy breeds spending most of the day sleeping or relaxing – a perfect couch potato indeed. This makes them apt for those desiring a happy-go-lucky pet that would not run about the house but sit peacefully in one place. However, the energy meter varies with age as the young pugs are the more enthusiastic lot than their adult counterparts.
They may not be too inclined towards doing an activity but are increasingly curious in their waking hours, observantly exploring their surroundings. Channelize this well by taking them out on a 30-minute or two 15-minute walks each day. When you find them sitting ideally for long at home, engage in a game or any interesting activity. In this way, they could burn some of their energy and stay content.
