What is the Pug’s Average Lifespan
The Pug lives for 12 to 15 years on average. Female pugs have a longer lifespan of 13.2 years than males who survive for 12.8 years.
Teacup pugs, downsized to achieve the miniature stature, have relatively shorter longevity, living between 6 and 10 years, mostly due to their small size that leads to increased health problems.
The longest living Pug on records is Snookie, who died in October 2018 in South Africa at 27 years.
