According to the AKC, a pug should weigh 14 – 18 pounds on average. Their weight depends on many aspects like age, metabolism, activity level, overall body stature, and gender.
They mostly reach their full weight by the time they attain nine months of age or maximum by their first birthday. A 22-pound pug is still considered healthy, but anything beyond that is regarded obese, needing a veterinarian’s intervention at the earliest.
Teacup pugs, a mini pug, weigh lesser, between 2 and 4 pounds.
